Kate's Biography

Kate began her career working in production in 2001 as a Production Secretary for an animation company following her graduation with a Media Arts Degree. She has since worked her way up the production ladder to achieve her current post as full-time Production Manager at Splinter Films.

During her young career Kate has gained experience working across the industry on the filming of concerts, promos, commercials, event organising, fashion and corporate television. At this stage of her career, her passion lies with Music Television, being part of events such as Fashion Rocks, Audioslave Live in Cuba, Download and Wireless Festivals, 50th Anniversary of the Fender Stratocaster and Fatboy Slim Live from Brighton Beach.

Kate has the ability to get the best out of people with her diplomacy; together with her focus and drive to complete the task in hand she has become an integral part of the Splinter team. Since joining Splinter in 2005 Kate has worked closely with Emer on projects with artists such as Depeche Mode, Il Divo, Foo Fighters, and Red Hot Chili Peppers. Kate recently filled the producer’s role for the first time, with a film featuring Christina Aguilera no less! Emer says of Kate: “She is my right-hand woman. I cannot imagine Splinter without her. She is so professional, so good at what she does, with a terrific attitude and it’s a great added bonus that our crews all absolutely love her!”
