Splinter Films was created in 1997 by Nick Wickham (director) and Emer Patten (producer), who brought diverse and complementary skills from MTV – Emer in news, features and live events, Nick in live performance, fashion photography and documentary. They set out to make programmes for and about the artists they admired and to change the way it was done. Over the years Splinter has gained a hard-earned reputation for creating performance films of the very highest calibre for some of the world’s best known recording artists. Now 9 years on, Splinter represents the talents of four of the UK’s leading multi-camera directors, with experience shooting all over the world in a variety of production environments.
